Garry F. Connell is a native of Miami, Florida. He attended Florida International University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 1984 and a Masters in Public Administration in 1995. In 2000, Garry was awarded a Juris Doctorate Law degree from the University of Miami Law School, where he graduated with Cum -Laude honors. Mr. Connell's scholastic performance resulted in his selection as the Student Marshall for his class, as well as his presenting the graduation commencement speech.
Garry was admitted to the Florida Bar in April 2001 and to the United States Southern District of Florida Bar in November 2006. He has tried cases to jury verdicts in both Dade and Broward Counties.
In 2001, Garry Connell went to work for the Insurance Defense Law firm of Conroy Sinberg and Ganon, P.A. - Florida's largest Insurance Defense firm. He has also worked for the large insurance defense firm, Cole Scott & Kissane, P.A. Prior to his starting his "second career, Gary worked as a State Investigator for the State of Florida's Secretary of State and Auditor General's Office. Garry also extensive experience as a liability claims adjuster, working for Traveler's Insurance Company, U. S. Security Insurance Company, Corporate Claim Services and Florida Intracoastal Underwriters, Ltd.,
Garry established his own private practice to provide excellent legal representation for victims of personal injury. Most of his cases are handled on a contingency basis; meaning there is no fee prior to settlement. If Mr. Connell does not recover any monies for his clients, then the firm, not the client pays any expenses incurred by the firm.
Garry has also been very active in the Fort Lauderdale community. He has been an active member of the St. Gregory's Catholic Church Men's Club, The Plantation Chamber of Commerce, Riverwalk Trust, Inc., New River Business Exchange, the Winterfest Boat Parade, and a past volunteer in the Big Brothers' School Buddies Program e. In this latter volunteer capacity, Garry mentored a disadvantaged student at two different elementary schools for two years. Gary has also served as a volunteer delivering meals for the Broward County Meals on Wheels program.
Garry enjoys golf, boating, weightlifting and attending local sporting events.
